The kingdom of Rajgarh is on the brink of collapse as enemies surround its borders. King Veer Singh (Amitabh Bachchan), a wise and valiant ruler, leads his army into battle. However, he faces betrayal from his most trusted general, Jai Dev, who conspires with invaders to seize the throne.  

The scene is a dramatic one: Veer Singh, wounded and surrounded, watches as his kingdom burns. In his dying moments, he curses Jai Dev and his lineage. The curse declares that until the truth of the betrayal is revealed and atonement is made, no descendant of the traitor will find peace, and the royal bloodline will suffer.  

Princess Anahita (Deepika Padukone) escapes the carnage, carrying a royal relic: a sacred sword inscribed with the kingdom’s motto, “Satya Hi Vijay Hai” (Truth Alone Triumphs). The sword becomes a symbol of justice and the key to lifting the curse.

In the 17th century, Rajgarh is under foreign rule. Aryan Dev (Ranveer Singh), a fiery descendant of King Veer Singh, leads a rebellion to reclaim the kingdom’s glory. Aryan’s story is one of bravery, sacrifice, and forbidden love.  

He falls in love with Princess Mehrunissa (Deepika Padukone in a dual role), who is betrothed to the emperor’s general. Their love blossoms in secret, set against a backdrop of political intrigue and battles.

- Aryan rallying his troops with the iconic war cry, "Rajgarh Amar Rahe!"

The antagonist emerges in the form of industrialist Rajiv Bhandari (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), a descendant of the traitor Jai Dev. Rajiv has been exploiting Rajgarh’s heritage for personal gain, dismissing the curse as mere folklore. However, he is plagued by nightmares of the curse and begins to unravel as Arjun and Meera close in on the truth.
